Flower Happy Birthday

Welcome to this week's LIMES inspiration post!

I chose this card as my inspiration from the gallery of this week's Splitcoaststampers' Featured Stamper!

LIST: Colours (pinks, blues, white, yellows, greens) , Techniques (die cutting, embossing) , Elements (overlapping flowers with shiny blue centres, die cut sentiment in lower right corner)

INCLUDE: pinks, blues, white, yellows, greens, die cutting, embossing,

MODIFY: flowers not overlapping, centres are black, sentiment is centred and two layered, added black mat

EXCLUDE:

SPIN:

I love the abundant look of the inspiration card - it’s haphazard and full of life and colour. I chose to use a coverplate die along with a faux inlay technique - much easier than colouring all those little petals and then putting them back into the holes! I put different colours on each petal, to give a similar ‘mixed-up’ feel and then when it was all done, I embossed it with an Altenew 3D embossing folder.
