Tulip Thanks

Welcome to this week's LIMES inspiration post!

I chose 2 cards this week.  this card

LIST: Colours (coral/pink, green, white, cream, brown), Techniques (stamping, die cutting, colouring), Elements (3 tulips, 3 pearls, border die, ribbon, patterned paper)

INCLUDE: coral, white, stamping, tulips,

MODIFY: tulip arrangement, created tulip stencils instead of copic colouring, changed green to aqua, horizontal strip instead of ribbon and green leaves, added a die cut sentiment

EXCLUDE: die cutting, embellishments, border die, ribbon, patterned paper

SPIN:

Tulips are my favourite and I had this Penny Black stamp in my ‘unused’ list. I masked off one tulip on the end, stamped the rest on a panel of white cardstock, then turned the cardstock, masked and stamped again. Instead of colouring my tulips I created stencils with masking paper and blended my inks through. I left the stems and leaves white and added my green by masking off the low-hanging tulips, then masking a horizontal strip across the panel. That was the perfect place for my die cut sentiment.

and this card
