Merry Mandala Wreath

Welcome to this week's LIMES inspiration post!

I chose this card as my inspiration from the gallery of this week's Splitcoaststampers' Featured Stamper!

LIST: Colours (red, green, white) , Techniques (stamping, die cutting,) , Elements (circular green wreath, red underneath, Nordic background, plaid ribbon bow, no sentiment)

INCLUDE: red, green, white, die cutting, circular green wreath, red underneath, Nordic background

MODIFY: mandal instead of stamped wreath, red mirror cardstock underneath, Nordic border on all 4 sides, added die cut sentiment

EXCLUDE: ribbon/plaid, stamping

SPIN: square card, texture on sentiment

I love to use my dies for all occasions, and this mandala works really well as a wreath when you put a red layer underneath. I added back in a few of the off cuts, after blending darker green ink on them so that the red was just highlights. My finishing touch was to use an old (retired) texture plate from My Favorite Things, that gives your paper a grosgrain ribbon texture, so maybe I didn’t totally exclude the ribbon? lol!
