Hello Daisies!

Welcome to this week's LIMES inspiration post!

I chose this card as my inspiration from the gallery of this week's Splitcoaststampers' Featured Stamper!

LIST: Colours (blue, white, yellow, green, orange, black), Techniques (stamping, die cutting), Elements (slimline card, hello, stamped flowers with watercolour look, )

INCLUDE: blue, white, yellow, orange, green, die cut, hello, flowers

MODIFY: baby wipe and stencil technique for my ‘watercolour’ look, used a blue strip to ground my white sentiment die cut and as tribute to the horizontal slimline, I created my green with blue and yellow ink refills.

EXCLUDE: fewer sentiments, no slimline

SPIN: square card

The soft colours and stamping of my inspiration worked perfectly with this technique that I was recently reminded of (view the video here). Add a few drops of ink refills to a baby wipe and pounce through a stencil. It will feel dry, but if you add water, you may lose definition of the stencilled shapes.

I added a darker shade for my flower centres, and finished the card with a blue strip to ground my white die cut sentiment, but also to give the horizontal feel of the slimline inspiration.
