LIMES - Happy Birthday

Welcome to this week's LIMES inspiration post!

I chose this card as my inspiration from the gallery of this week's Splitcoaststampers' Featured Stamper!

LIST: Colours (black, white, purple, blue, peach) , Techniques (stamping) , Elements (irregular circles with lines, black circle with white sentiment, lots of white space)

INCLUDE: black, white, purple, stamping, irregular circles with lines

MODIFY: die cut instead of stamped background, stamped sentiment on white circle

EXCLUDE: peach

SPIN:

I love odd, fun shapes like the ones used in my inspiration! I trimmed down a coverplate die cut and inked it with black ink in the solid centres, before adding a layer of a Lisa Horton interference ink. These inks show different colours on white vs black. Although it is subtle in the photo, there is very definitely a pinky/purply shine on all the black elements of this card - the mat, the die cut, the sentiment backer and the stamped sentiment!
