Mix & Match Birthday

Welcome to this week's LIMES inspiration post!

I chose this layout as my inspiration from the gallery of this week's Splitcoaststampers' Featured Stamper!

LIST: Colours (pink, yellow, light and dark aqua, black) , Techniques (digital scrapbook page) , Elements (regular colourful patterned background, hearts, text, black graphic element, die cut ‘girl’, flowers, black text on background

INCLUDE: Card 1 (colourful patterned background, black graphic element, black text on background) Card 2 (all the same items included)

MODIFY: Card 1 - black element goes across card, die cut white sentiment, Card 2 - reversed the proportions of colourful background and black graphic element

EXCLUDE: flowers, hearts, girl/people, text on background edges

SPIN:

I love the happy energy from the inspiration layout. I used a layering stencil set to create a background paenl with a mix of of bright happy colours. I love the addition of the black graphic element (I used a coverplate die cut here) - it keeps the card from being too ‘sweet’, I think. By trimming down my 2 A2 backgrounds, I was able to reverse the design and create 2 square cards.
