Copper Anemone

Welcome to this week's LIMES inspiration post!

I chose this card as my inspiration from the gallery of this week's Splitcoaststampers' Featured Stamper!

LIST: Colours (copper, black, peach) , Techniques (alcohol ink, heat embossing, die cutting) , Elements (copper alcohol ink background, heat embossed black flourish, peach flowers in different sizes with pearl centres, ribbon/bow)

INCLUDE: copper, black, peach, die cutting, peach flowers

MODIFY: background panel made with ink and shimmer spray, black stems are die cut, not a stamped flourish, horizontal ‘stripes’ of embossed dots rather than ribbon

EXCLUDE: pearls, ribbon

SPIN: added embossing to the background

I love copper, but I don’t have any copper cardstock, so like my inspiration, I created my own. I used Spiced ink on white cardstock, then spritzed it with Altenew Shimmer spray which has a kind of green iridescence which is perfect for copper. When it was dry, I embossed that panel with a subtle but fun 3D embossing folder.

I cut my stems and flower centres from black cardstock, and created my pink/peach flowers with inkblending.
