LIMES - Accidental Thanks

Welcome to this week's LIMES inspiration post!

I chose this card as my inspiration from the gallery of this week’s Splitcoaststampers Featured Stamper:

LIST: Colours (rainbow) , Techniques (embossed background, stamped, fussy cut petals to create flower) , Elements (big daisy with different patterns on each petal, embossed background)

INCLUDE: colours, embossed background, big flower with sentiment on one petal,

MODIFY: technique - background is stenciled then embossed, flower is white, sentiment on one petal

EXCLUDE:

SPIN:

I wasn’t quite sure how I wanted to create my background for this card, so I just sat down and played. I used one stencil of daisies and blended yellow, then pink, then blue ink through, shifting the stencil each time to get overlaps and fill the panel in. It felt very busy, intense and crisp, so I spritzed lots of water over top to get the colours moving and soaked up the water with a paper towel to get this soft, almost tie-dyed look. Once it was dry, I embossed it with a 3D embossing folder and added some black splatter. I doubled up a kind of wonky flower die cut and stamped my sentiment on one petal.
